Section 1

Introduction

SilverSafe AI ("SilverSafe," "SAM," "we," "our," or "us"), operated by Shieldsoft Technologies LLC, helps people recognize scams before they become victims.

Protecting your privacy is an important part of that mission. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how we protect it, and the choices you have regarding your information when you use our website and services.

Section 2

Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Visitors to www.silversafe.ai
  • Users of the SAM voice and text service

Section 3

Our mission

SilverSafe AI helps people identify and avoid scams through artificial intelligence, educational resources, and scam detection tools.

Our goal is simple: help people make safer decisions before they lose money or personal information. Protecting your privacy is an important part of achieving that mission.

Section 4

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use SilverSafe.

Information you provide

You may voluntarily provide information when you create an account, subscribe to a paid plan, call or text SAM, upload screenshots or images, add a caregiver, contact customer support, participate in surveys or feedback requests, join our waitlist or mailing list, or complete onboarding.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Mobile phone number
  • Email address
  • Caregiver information
  • Billing information processed through our payment provider
  • Account preferences
  • Scam-related questions
  • Messages you send to SAM
  • Images or screenshots you choose to upload
  • Customer support communications

You should only provide information that is necessary for SAM to assist you.

Information collected during conversations

When you interact with SAM through voice or SMS, we may collect information needed to provide the service. This may include phone number, date and time of the interaction, text messages sent to SAM, voice conversation transcripts, screenshots or images you upload, scam classifications, AI-generated responses, session summaries, and caregiver notification status where applicable.

SilverSafe does not store audio recordings of your phone conversations. Instead, we retain text transcripts and related session information to provide continuity, improve the service, support caregiver features, investigate potential abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Information about your subscription

If you subscribe to SilverSafe, we may collect information related to your subscription, including subscription plan, billing status, renewal status, purchase history, promotional offers redeemed, caregiver add-ons, trial eligibility, and account status.

Payment card information is processed securely by our payment processor. SilverSafe does not store your complete payment card number.

Caregiver information

Some SilverSafe features allow subscribers to connect a caregiver, trusted family member, or designated contact. When these features are used, we may collect name, email address, mobile phone number, relationship to the subscriber, and notification preferences. This information is used only to operate caregiver features requested by the subscriber.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website or use our online services, certain information may be collected automatically, including device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate geographic location, website pages visited, time spent on pages, referral source, general usage information, and cookie identifiers. This information helps us improve our website, understand how visitors use our services, maintain security, and improve the overall user experience.

Information from third parties

In some situations, we may receive information from trusted third parties. Examples include payment processors confirming successful transactions, communications providers delivering messages, fraud prevention services, identity verification providers where applicable, marketing and analytics providers, and publicly available information that helps us investigate scams or improve our services. We only use this information for legitimate business purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Section 5

Information we ask you not to share

SilverSafe is designed to help identify scams while minimizing the amount of sensitive information you need to share.

Please do not provide the following information to SAM unless specifically instructed by an authorized government agency, financial institution, or other trusted organization outside of SilverSafe:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Driver's license numbers
  • Passport numbers
  • Complete bank account numbers
  • Full credit or debit card numbers
  • Account passwords
  • PINs
  • One-time verification codes
  • Security questions or answers
  • Any other highly sensitive personal information that is not necessary for SAM to evaluate a suspected scam

SAM will never ask you to provide your password, PIN, one-time verification code, or full financial account information.

If you accidentally share sensitive information, contact us at support@silversafe.ai if you believe assistance is needed.

Section 6

How we use your information

SilverSafe AI uses personal information only for legitimate business purposes related to operating, maintaining, improving, and protecting our services.

  • Provide scam detection and scam assistance services.
  • Respond to calls, text messages, and customer support requests.
  • Analyze suspicious messages, links, emails, screenshots, and other content you choose to share.
  • Personalize your experience with SAM.
  • Recognize your account when you contact us.
  • Process subscriptions and manage billing.

  • Protect the safety, rights, and property of our users, employees, partners, and SilverSafe AI.

We do not use your personal information for purposes that are inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

Section 7

Artificial intelligence

SAM uses artificial intelligence to help analyze information you voluntarily provide, such as suspicious text messages, screenshots, emails, website links, and conversation transcripts.

Artificial intelligence helps SAM identify potential scam patterns, provide educational information, generate scam risk assessments, recommend safety precautions, and improve the overall user experience.

Although our AI is designed to assist users in recognizing potential scams, no artificial intelligence system is perfect. SAM's responses are intended to assist you in making informed decisions but should not be considered legal, financial, tax, investment, medical, or emergency advice. You remain responsible for your own decisions.

If you believe you are experiencing an emergency or have become the victim of a crime, contact the appropriate emergency services, financial institution, or law enforcement agency immediately.

Section 8

Improving our services & communications

We continually work to improve SAM's ability to recognize new scams and provide better guidance. To improve our services, we may analyze information in an aggregated or de-identified form to identify emerging scam trends, improve scam detection accuracy, improve response quality, enhance product features, measure service performance, and develop new safety tools. When practical, we use information that does not directly identify individual users.

We may contact you regarding your account or use of SilverSafe. Examples include subscription confirmations, billing notifications, security alerts, scam alerts you requested, caregiver notifications when enabled, customer support responses, product updates related to your account, and changes to our policies or terms. We will not send marketing communications if you have opted out, except where necessary to provide or administer the services you have requested.

Section 9

Data security & retention

SilverSafe uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include encryption of data during transmission, secure cloud infrastructure, access controls designed to limit access to authorized personnel, security monitoring and logging, regular updates and maintenance of our systems, and secure payment processing through trusted third-party providers.

While we work to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain account history, support caregiver features, improve scam detection, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect against fraud and abuse. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purposes for which it was collected. When information is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it in accordance with our internal data management practices and applicable law.

Section 10

Fraud prevention & automated decisions

Protecting users from scams and fraudulent activity is central to SilverSafe's mission. We may use information collected through our services to detect fraudulent activity, identify abusive or malicious behavior, prevent misuse of our services, protect users from known scam techniques, and improve future scam detection capabilities. Where appropriate, we may cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities when legally required or when necessary to protect users or the public from fraud or criminal activity.

Some aspects of SAM rely on automated systems to help analyze information and generate responses. These automated processes assist in identifying potential scam indicators and providing educational guidance. However, automated processing is only one component of our service and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a communication is legitimate or fraudulent. Users should always exercise independent judgment when making financial or personal decisions.

Section 11

How we share your information

SilverSafe respects your privacy. We do not sell your personal information. We only share personal information when it is necessary to operate our services, comply with legal obligations, protect users, or when you have requested or authorized us to do so.

Service providers

Like most online services, SilverSafe works with carefully selected third-party service providers who help us operate our platform. These providers may assist with cloud hosting and infrastructure, secure payment processing, voice and SMS communications, artificial intelligence processing, website functionality, customer support, security monitoring, fraud prevention, and analytics and product improvement. These providers are permitted to access personal information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually required or otherwise expected to protect your information. We do not authorize our service providers to use your personal information for their own marketing purposes.

Payment processing

Subscription payments are processed through trusted third-party payment processors. SilverSafe does not store your complete credit card or debit card information. Payment processors maintain their own privacy and security practices governing the information they collect.

Legal requirements

We may disclose personal information when we believe doing so is necessary to comply with applicable laws or legal process, respond to lawful requests from government authorities, enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, protect the rights, safety, and property of SilverSafe, our users, or others, investigate suspected fraud, abuse, security incidents, or illegal activity, or prevent imminent harm where disclosure is legally permitted or required.

Business transfers

If SilverSafe AI or Shieldsoft Technologies LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any successor organization will be expected to honor the commitments described in this Privacy Policy unless you are notified otherwise.

Aggregated and de-identified information

We may use or share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably identify an individual. Examples include scam trends, product usage statistics, research findings, service performance metrics, and educational reports.

Section 12

SMS communications

If you choose to receive text messages from SilverSafe or SAM, we may use your mobile phone number to provide services you have requested. These messages may include scam alerts, safety notifications, caregiver notifications, account updates, subscription information, customer support responses, authentication or verification messages, and other service-related communications.

Message frequency varies depending on your account activity and the services you choose to use. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan.

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to one of our text messages. If supported, you may reply HELP for additional assistance or contact us directly at support@silversafe.ai. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing our services.

Section 13

Mobile information privacy

Mobile phone numbers, SMS consent records, and SMS opt-in information are never sold, rented, leased, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share mobile information only when necessary to deliver the messages you requested, operate our services, process subscriptions, provide customer support, comply with legal obligations, and protect users and prevent fraud. Our communications service providers may process mobile information solely for the purpose of delivering the services requested by you.

Section 14

Caregiver features

Some SilverSafe features allow subscribers to designate one or more caregivers or trusted family members. When these features are enabled, SilverSafe may share limited information necessary to operate those features.

Depending on your account settings, caregivers may receive scam alerts, wellness notifications, missed check-in notifications, account status updates, and other alerts authorized by the subscriber.

SilverSafe shares only the information reasonably necessary to provide these features. Subscribers remain responsible for selecting trusted caregivers and managing their caregiver settings.

Section 15

Cookies and similar technologies

SilverSafe uses cookies and similar technologies to improve website functionality, remember user preferences, understand how visitors use our website, and improve the overall user experience.

Cookies may also help us maintain secure sessions, remember your preferences, measure website performance, improve navigation, understand which pages are most useful, and improve future products and services.

Some browsers allow you to disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of portions of our website. Where required by law, we will request your consent before using non-essential cookies.
